The paper trail behind the performance.

Every APEAX film carries a clear, written warranty. Structural cover runs to 10 years. Solar films carry lifetime cover. All warranty work is registered on your behalf inside an ISO 9001 controlled portal, not a spreadsheet.

What's Not Covered

  • Damage from impact, stone strike, or collision
  • Abrasive or solvent cleaning agents not approved by APEAX
  • Self-inflicted damage during removal or modification
  • Installation by non-vetted, non-trained installers
  • Use outside the vehicle category the film is spec'd for
  • Film applied to glass with pre-existing structural damage

Installation Requirements

APEAX warranty is conditional on installation by a vetted trade installer. Trade installers are required to complete APEAX technical training, maintain controlled install environments where required, and register every install via the APEAX Distribution warranty portal within 7 days of completion.

For heavy vehicle applications, SHIELD supplies vehicle-specific install templates, waste allowances, and QA sign-off documentation as part of every trade order.

Claim Process

Claims are lodged through SHIELD and assessed inside the ASI Portal Films Management Module. Average response time is under 48 hours. Approved claims are progressed directly with APEAX through the Distribution Division, no third party involved.

  • Claim acknowledgement within 4 hours
  • Initial assessment within 48 hours
  • APEAX escalation for approved claims within 5 business days
  • Replacement dispatch inside 4 weeks on accepted claims

ISO Traceability

Every warranted install is traceable through ASI's ISO 9001 quality system. Batch number, install location, installer ID, vehicle identification, and customer details are captured in controlled records. This matters on coach, marine, and structural jobs where independent warranty evidence can be the difference between a paid claim and a denied one.
